Type 1 is organized around the desire to be good, correct, responsible, and morally or practically sound. Ones often feel an inner pressure to improve things: themselves, their work, their environment, other people, society. They tend to notice errors quickly and may experience life through a strong sense of "this could be better."
Their strength is integrity. They can be principled, disciplined, reliable, and deeply committed to doing what is right rather than what is easy. At their best, they are clear-sighted reformers who bring order without becoming rigid.
Their difficulty is resentment and self-criticism. Because they often repress anger in order to remain "good" or controlled, anger may come out as irritation, judgment, moral tension, or bodily tightness. They may struggle to relax, forgive themselves, or accept imperfection.
A Type 1 might think: "If I don't hold things to a standard, everything will become careless, corrupt, or wrong."
